Thursdays, 12:15-1:30, Sage 5711

The Trump presidency has provoked deep concern and questions about arrays of issues. University communities need to analyze and interpret what is happening, what is at stake, and possible pathways forward. Rensselaer's Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS) will host Trump for Lunch meetings to provide a forum for this work. Each meeting will start with brief commentary on a particular topic, after which the discussion will go where the group takes it. Bring your lunch.

Thursday, February 9

STS Professor Mike Fortun will start the discussion with brief commentary on parallels between racism today, and the eugenics movements of the 1920s. Other discussion topics will also be welcome.
